THE Specifications.

The Shockwave tile can be manufactured in 40 or 55mm and is 100% recyclable being made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP). Key features of the tile are listed below:

  • Density of 50-53 grams per litre engineered for high levels of performance.

  • Dimensions: 1200 X 900mm approx.

  • Texturised surface to provide excellent friction and unwanted carpet movement.

  • Drainage holes are utilized to allow efficient horizontal and vertical drainage.

Void space under each tile

Void space under each tile equates to the amount of available space that could be stored, for example by air or water. Under each Shockwave tile there are empty spaces between the hemispheres, which can help divert water flow across a pitch or store water under wet climatic conditions.

A single tile (if a cuboid):

Tile X dimension: 1200mm
Tile Y dimension: 900mm
Tile Z dimension: 40mm
Cubic mm3: 43200000*

*converting from mm3to m3 = 0.0432 cubic metres
*converting cubic metres to litres = 43.20 litres

The volume of a single tile: 31.90 litres

Single tile (if a cuboid): 43.20

Single tile: 31.90

Void space (litres): 11.30

Each tile therefore can attenuate up to 11.30 litres of water or air underneath.
